About Me
A love of old, well-crafted, long-lasting furniture led me to the world of upholstery.
For years, I trawled auctions and acquired gorgeous finds, sometimes giving them a little 'tlc' before finding them new homes. But I always felt saddened to see unloved Louis chairs and thread-bear Parker Knolls, knowing they’d probably soon end up in a skip and so I decided to make a change; I wanted to save these chairs! And so, for this reason I embarked upon years of upholstery training and truly loved it.
I often hear from customers, “It’s my Nan’s chair, I can’t bear to part with it but it doesn’t go in my room" - and this is where I can really help.
I’ll happily visit your home and get an idea of what may work for your heirloom. I understand if you want to keep the revamp sympathetic or, if you want to go for something more contemporary and totally bespoke.
Some clients like their chairs to be statement pieces others, to be comfortable and classic. I always follow your brief but am honest about what can be achieved.
I also work with a curtain maker so your room can enjoy a total makeover to match your new chair.
